Well this 2 day ISA Level 1 surf instructor course is the perfect option for experienced surfers to turn their passion into a career!
Run by experienced and accredited ISA instructor trainer David Lammin, this 2 day course is available in various locations around Australia – including Byron Bay, the Sunshine Coast, Tasmania, Torquay and Crescent Head – and is strictly limited to 8 students per course.
Unlike our “zero to hero” courses, this 2 day option is aimed at experienced surfers who already have the in water skills to pass the surf assessment and want to become a qualified surf coach.
This world recognised certification will give you all the skills needed to be a confident and competent surf instructor and to pass on the stoke!
Anyone 18 years or over
Surfers who can already paddle confidently and safely out the back, consistently surf both left and right, be able to perform a basic top and bottom turn in both directions

The ISA Level 1 certification combines both practical and theory lessons and assessments that will give you all the skills you need to coach beginner surfers and is the entry level qualification needed for any surf instructor job around the world.

PLEASE NOTE: To obtain your full surf instructor certification you also need to complete a ISA/ILS Instructor Water Safety (or equivalent) certification and 20 hours practical work experience.
