With 5 cabins, all with 1 double and 1 single bunk, all kitted out with ensuite and A/C it’s the perfect private surf charter boat – big enough for a group a surf friends (max 10-12 guests) and intimate enough for a tropical surfing couples escape!
Owned and operated by Shaun Levings (who’s been in the surf travel industry since 1993) and General Zuhair (retired Army General and head of the Coast Guard) you’ll be in good hands throughout your stay on the Handhu with the Island Hop Maldives Team.
The Handhu surf charter boasts 3 decks – so there’s plenty of space to chill out and relax between surf sessions, including a spacious sun lounging deck which is perfect for topping up your tan or checking the waves.
The Aft deck is also setup for big game fishing – so whilst you’re travelling between surf breaks get the lines out and see if you can rustle up some fresh fish for the BBQ!
And talking of food – all your on board meals will be prepared by Chef Gopal who’s range of curries, local Maldivian delicacies and of course sashimi skills will make sure you’re always well fuelled, and you can wash it down with an ice cold beer from the fully stocked bar – with the option to stock it with all your favourites for the ultimate is private surf charter experience!

After landing at Male Airport you’ll be greeted by the Island Hop Crew, who will take care of all your boards and luggage and you’ll head off on your transfer to board the Handhu – you’ll home for your Maldives surf charter.
Kick back on the deck with a cold beer and relax, whilst you head off to find some waves
Time to get some serious surfing done – with the Captain and crew scouting out the best waves for the current surf conditions. With all their local knowledge and a huge amount of surf breaks on offer get ready for some serious time in the water scoring tropical surf perfection!
After an epic stay on board Handhu with the Island Hop Maldives crew it’s time to say goodbye and head back to Male Airport and your onward flight.
