We are thrilled to announce an exclusive 1 week retreat in the remote surfing paradise of Simeulue, Indonesia with surf coach and vlogger Kale Brock.
In this premium, intimate retreat with Kale, surfers will enjoy an abundance of perfect, empty waves across reef and sand in Sumatra
With its pristine surroundings, surfers can enjoy white sandy beaches and lush tropical forests, perfect for remote wave hunting and surf progression.
Our schedule is flexible to maximise alignment with the best waves, however here is a general outline of a typical coaching day;

This retreat is perfect for those surfers who are performing intermediate level manoeuvres on a wave face yet feel they have plateaued in their abilities. You must be confident surfing over a reef in intermediate to advanced waves.
By working closely together with Kale throughout the entire week, surfers will be able to identify the patterns or sub-optimal techniques holding them back and begin to optimise them for better surfing.
Utilising The Surfer’s Roadmap curriculum and a fun and friendly approach, Kale will unlock years of progression in this retreat.
Whilst on the trip, every surfing session you have will be filmed, translated into an analysis on retreat and a deep analysis to take home.
Your base for the week will be the stunning Aura Surf Resort in Simeulue Island, located off the coast of Northern Sumatra.
Set amongst 15,000 sqm of beachfront parkland with an epic Peak break right out front & mountainous jungle as your backdrop- your daily surfs couldn’t get any easier than Aura Surf Resort.
Lined with hammocks, indoor and outdoor lounge furniture, dining tables, billiard table, widescreen digital tv, bookshelves loaded with surfing mags, books and board games, it also boasts a prime view of the Peak out front.
The BBQ deck sits adjacent to the restaurant, the perfect place to unwind after a day of pumping waves.

After your application has been reviewed, we’ll send you some options for accomodation type, board options (half or full) and provide you a personalised quote based on your preferences.
If successful, we’ll reach out to secure your spot on retreat. This will be via a 10% deposit that will be due within 2 weeks of accepting your spot.
After all of our spots are allocated, we’ll be in touch with the finer details and arrange a face to face (Zoom meeting) with Kale prior to the retreat.
This is a great opportunity to meet fellow surfers and ask any burning questions.
Your final payment will be due 60 days before the retreat. However, if you want to pay this off beforehand or in instalments that’s no worries either

Once payments are complete, and you have arranged your own travel itinerary – you’ll be ready to unlock months of surf progression with Kale.
