Lances Right, aka HTs or Hollow Trees is one of the most famous waves in the Mentawais and sits right in front of Villa Onu and attracts surfers from all over the world. Punchy, fast and one of the bucket list!
An easy boat ride from Villa Onu is one for the goofy footers and this left hander is another Mentawai classic and one of the most consistent waves in the area too.
This barrelling, slabby left hander is best left to the advanced surfers, but will serve up some tube time you’ll never forget. Technical and shallow, but the risk is worth the reward!
This cruisey left and right peaked reef breaks into deeper water so is ideal for those looking for something a bit more playful. Great fun on a longboard or mid length it’s also the ideal spot for those looking to build up their confidence in the waves.
