This is an intensive surf week built for independent surfers who want to push their level in one of the most iconic surf destinations in the world.
Get ready for some barefoot luxury, tropical lineups and serious surf progression.
Right out the front, this super fun right-hander breaks almost every day during the surf season, and is arguably one of the best waves in the area, handling everything from 2ft to 8 foot!
Another wave just in front of the resort! It does need a bit more swell to work, but the fast, hollow left is perfect or experienced goofy footers.
One of the most fun waves in the Mentawais! After a hollow outside section this long running wall offers up plenty of opportunity for carves and turns.
Offering reeling walls and up to 300m metres of wave this is the ideal wave for practising those turns and scoring some absolute leg-burning rides!

Awera Resort is geared up for both surfers and non surfers, so there’s plenty to keep everyone busy even!
Or they can simply kick back and relax by the pool if they prefer some serious island time!
Snorkelling, kayaking, SUPing through the mangroves and jungle waterfalls are just some of the non surfing activities on offer as well as twice daily yoga and even an in house spa.
And if you’re bringing less experienced surfers or those wanted to learn to surf, the resort has access to a super fun, mellow beginner wave, perfect for those looking to experience surfing for the first time or practice on something smaller (although lessons and coaching here aren’t included)
