Main Point, Arugam Bay The headline act. A long, peeling right-hander that can handle a wide range of swell sizes and is one of the best waves in Asia for working on your forehand surfing — turns, rail-to-rail, speed generation. Ideal for intermediate to advanced surfers with goals on the open face.
Pottuvil Point A few kilometres north of the bay, Pottuvil is a longer, more powerful version of the main break — one of Sri Lanka’s premier waves when it’s on. Less crowded than the main bay and a step up in intensity. Good for advanced surfers looking to test themselves in more demanding conditions.
Whiskey Point North of the bay, a more forgiving right-hander that’s useful for intermediate surfers working on consistency and flow without the pressure of the main peak.
