Two fly-in options make this more accessible than the Durban-based Mozambique tour: fly directly into Maputo, or connect through Maputo to Inhambane — closer to Tofo and a shorter transfer to kick things off. The tour begins and ends at whichever gateway suits your flights.

To get there, the group leaves the tar road behind and heads into the dirt tracks and heavy 4×4 terrain that keeps most surfers away. The drive is an adventure in itself — remote Mozambican bush, off-road tracks, and a real sense of getting somewhere that takes genuine commitment to reach. When the sand point delivers, it makes every kilometre worthwhile.
