Your surf lessons are run by Mojo Surf — one of the most established surf schools in Australia, operating since 1998. Each day your instructor will take you through the fundamentals — pop-ups, paddling technique, ocean safety and wave reading — and transport you to the best break for the day’s conditions. All equipment is provided, so you travel light and focus on the surfing.
Your base is the Arts Factory Lodge — Byron Bay’s most well-known backpacker accommodation. It’s a social, lively base that’s been a rite of passage for travelling surfers for years.
