The islands of Indonesia have long been held in high regard by the travelling surfer since their mainstream discovery – and with good reason. Indonesia boasts some truly world class surf breaks – the likes of Uluwatu and Desert Point quickly spring to mind – and is on the to do list of anyone who loves riding waves.
Although barrels and reefs are the main attraction, Indo also provides the perfect setting for those looking to learn to surf as well as surf spots for those who are wishing to progress their surf skills to the next level.
Our Indonesia Island Hopping Surf Camp is the perfect experience for any level of surfer. Whether you’re taking your first venture into the sport, are comfortable riding unbroken waves or are really looking to push it up a notch, the variety of spots and the calibre of our surf coaches really does cater for everyone. And it fits easily into any travel plan, as it runs every week!
Not only that, but over a course of nearly a week the moving surf camp format takes in 3 of Indonesia’s most famous and picturesque surf spots: Bali, Lombok and Nusa Lembongan. So rather than sticking to a single spot you get the chance to explore a bit more of the country, and take in more of the sights, sounds and beautiful culture that make this part of the world so special.
For beginners the easy, crumbling beach breaks provide the ideal setup to get your basics nailed down, and our coaches will be on hand to guide you through every detail – from nailing your ‘pop’ to selecting the right waves.
Intermediates have a variety of spots to choose from, which include some great reef breaks that provide a stepping stone into a more progressive way of surfing. You’ll have a few options, so you can progress at a speed you feel comfortable with, knowing that when you’re ready to take the next step it’s no worries.
A mixture of video and photo coaching that accompanies this will help you really nail down your style and technique.
For those of a more advanced level there’s reeling barrels, heavy reefs and all manner of spots available depending on the swell – so whether you fancy a fun free surf or really want to push yourself, it’s all there. Once again coaches will be on-hand for feedback, to show you around the spots and also to provide you with video and photo coaching.

After a morning surf session in Cangguu you’l fly over to Lombok* where you’ll be based in Kuta (the Lombok version, not the Bali one… same same but different!) arriving in the evening just in time for happy hour! (Food = B/D)
Time to get your surf on in Lombok! Depending on the tides you’ll squeeze in one or two sessions today. You’ll access some of the best spots in the area via outrigger; it’s straight out of a surf movie!
This is a personal highlight for the Stoked Surf Adventures team, as jumping off a boat into the waves is always a memorable experience! (Food = B/L/D)
Bounce across to Nusa Lembongan, an often overlooked island that provides pristine waters and a wide selection of surf breaks and snorkelling spots. By now you’ll be pretty confident in the waves and it’s the perfect opportunity to really tests your skills.
(Food = B/D)
Explore some more of Nusa Lembongan’s surfing fun as well as an included snorkel trip with Manta Rays (nature permitting!) but even if you cant spot any mantas there’s still plenty to see! If your arms are feeling the burn there’s plenty of free time to check out some other activities like stand up paddleboarding or snorkelling, or simply enjoy having a wander around the island.

The first part of the day wraps up your time in Nusa Lembongan with more surf and fun in the sun. After taking the fast boat back to Bali you’ll have the chance to sip some sunset cocktails or beers with your newly found surf buddies before moving on to your next adventure. (Food = B/D)
