Catering for up to 11 surfers the Sola Gracia is kitted out with all the creature comforts you’d expect from a luxury Mentawai surf charter – comfortable beds, plenty of chill out space (bean bags included!), 3 A/C quad share rooms and 10 cases of ice cold Bintangs!

Your experienced crew will guide you to the best waves for the day – scoring everything from charging barrels to fun, carevable walls depending on what you’re in the mood for. Enjoy being chauffeured to the lineup in the tinny and simply give your board a wave in the air when you’re surfed out and they’ll come collect you too.

And with a world class photographer on board you’ll get some awesome snaps of your waves for full bragging rights when you get home – just chat to them on board for their range of photography packages.

As well as hitting up Mentawai favourites like Hideaways, Kandui, Bank Vaults and Beng Bengs you’ll also venture further afield and hit up spots the land based camps can’t reach – sleeping by the lineup so you’re the first to paddle out each morning.

The Mentawai Islands are famed for some of the best and most consistent surf breaks in the world – here are some of the spots that you’ll be a short walk or boat ride from…

Ebay – this is the surf camps home break, just 150m walk along the beach. A reeling left hander it can hold a variety of swell, even producing some barrel selections on the right conditions

Beng Beng – just a short boat trip from the camp in the next bay this left is super fun with a forgiving take off and long reeling lefts. One of our teams personal favourites.

Burger World – this long, reeling right hander is perhaps one of the most picturesque waves in the area – peeling off a beach filled with palm trees! Working in all conditions and suitable for all levels of surfer, if the wind and swell isn’t working at other spots Burger World will no doubt have a wave.

Good Times – one of the longest lefts in the area and often described as the mirror image of Burger World. When this spots working there’s plenty of space for big turns and even some cheeky cover ups.

Pit Stops – this wedgey right hander is just a 10 minute jungle or beach walk from the camp. Expect some barrel filled take off and long fun walls.

Bank Vaults – certainly one of the heavier and more advanced surf spots in the area expect big hollow barrels. It needs a bigger swell to start working, but when it does it can give you the ride of your life.

Nipussi – this fast and shallow right hander works in a variety of swell and wind making it a good alternative to Burger World. But given the right conditions this is also a super fun wave.

1. Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of $1000 AUD per person is due at the time of booking. Booking is not secured until deposit has been received. This is a first come first served basis. Deposits can be transferred to a third party for the same charter only. We only accept deposit payments via bank transfer.

2. Final Payment

Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure and is non-refundable but can be transferred to a third party for the same charter only. We only accept final payments via bank transfer.

B. LIABILITY

1. Whilst all care and safety measures are taken by the owners and staff of MENTAWAI SURF CO., once boarding the vessel SOLA GRACIA, all passengers and clients agree that in no way the owners, operators, employees and agents are liable for any consequential damages. The operators of MENTAWAI SURF CO assumes no liability for personal injury of any kind, death, property damage or theft (traveling to/from the boat and whilst on board), delays due to weather, airline arrival/departure times,  acts of God, loss/late arrival of surfboards, surfboard bags or luggage, or any other event we are unable to control.
2. A travel insurance policy that covers participation and possible cancellation or curtailment of a boat charter, as well as Medi-Vac coverage is mandatory for travel aboard SOLA GRACIA.
3. The owners/operators assume no liability to take out insurance for MENTAWAI SURF CO passengers.
4. Illegal substances are not tolerated and forbidden aboard MENTAWAI SURF CO.
5. The captain reserves the right to remove any passengers from the boat that endangers the well being and safety of the vessel, its passengers or crew, in accordance with Maritime Law.
