Aimed at intermediate surfers (check out the info below for the full requirements) this 5 week course combines world class surf coaching, theory and video analysis and the full ISA Level 1 examination, which is accepted all over the world and is the perfect entry into your surf instructor career.
Your base for the 5 weeks is Secret Spot Villa, in Ahangama, on the South West Coast of Sri Lanka.
Newly built in 2023 this private villa boasts open plan living, A/C ensuite bedrooms and it’s own private pool, the perfect spot to relax and cool off after a long day in the waves.
Combine this with world class coaching, video/photo analysis and even a trip to Arugam Bay to round things off and you’ve got yourself an epic 5 weeks of Sri Lankan surfing adventure!
You’ll kick things of in Ahangama on the South Coast of Sri Lanka – where plenty of incredible waves are in easy reach of the villa.
You’ll receive 3 weeks of world class coaching from the Surf House crew, including Head Coach Nikita who used to compete on the world tour – so you’re in expert hands!
After successfully completing the ISA Level 1 and ILS Water Safety Course you’ll have 2 world-recognised qualifications which will allow you to coach all across the globe – with former students landing jobs everywhere from Ecuador and Costa Rica to Morocco, Indonesia and Australia!
To celebrate you’ll spend your final week over on the East Coast of Sri Lanka at the famous Arugam Bay where you’ll wrap up your trip with some point break perfection.
It’s 5 weeks of luxury lifestyle, island vibes pumping waves that set you up for a career of living the dream!

A fun, peaky, semi reef break, Sticks is a few minutes walk from the villa and a great way to perfect those bottom and top turns.
The closest surf spots to your home base – Kabalan offers some fun beach break peaks, whilst The Rock is an a frame reef that can hold some serious size
Within easy reach are heaps of other incredible surf spots for all styles and conditions. Including the likes of Insights, Marshmellows, Gas Stations, Sion and more
